Personal: Ricketts is the youngest of four children in her family. Her brother, Richard, played football at Air Force, while her sister, Stephanie, was an All-America softball player at Hawaii.

Another sister, Samantha, was an All-America softball player at Oklahoma and now serves as the head softball coach at Mississippi State. In 2017, Ricketts married her husband, Sean, in San Jose, California. Sean is a military veteran from American Samoa.

They have a daughter named Elizabeth.

Ricketts lists her pitching coach, Kenny Gardner, as a person who has made a difference in her life. As a child, she also participated in basketball, volleyball, and the Asian Pacific Islander Student Union. In 2024, Ricketts completed her first season as an assistant softball coach at Mid-America Christian University, piloting the Evangels to a 37-17 record and an appearance in the NAIA National Tournament.
