His mother, Angela, is a songwriter, vocalist, and consultant, while his father, LeRoy, served in the police force for 20 years before pursuing a career in education. Williams has two younger brothers, Tyrel Jackson and Tailen Jacob.

As a child, Williams began his acting career through newspaper casting calls.
